About Madison

LOEX 2003 is being held at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center in the heart of downtown Madison. Monona Terrace was first designed by Wisconsin native and internationally renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, but wasn't constructed until over 50 years later, with an updated interior designed by Wright apprentice and Taliesin architect Tony Puttnam. One block away from the State Capitol Building, a short walk from State Street, the main shopping strip that connects the State Capitol to the University, with a walking/biking path along Lake Monona just outside its doors, Monona Terrace is perfectly situated for an exploration of downtown Madison.
